BILBROUGH PARISH COUNCIL

AFFORDABLE HOUSING CONSULTATION - SURVEY RESULTS

Following the recent Affordable Housing Consultation Day at the village hall, numerous concerns have been expressed about the 2024 NYCC housing survey upon which the Council's proposal is based. It is clear that many residents were not even aware of the survey's existence.

The Parish Council was neither consulted nor directly notified about the survey prior to its distribution in March 2024. We therefore contend that the survey was not sufficiently well publicised and does not present an accurate or statistically robust reflection of local housing need.

Join the PC!

With two members of the Parish Council recently stepping down, we are now seeking new representatives to ensure that the best interests of our community continue to be served.

We liaise with the County Council and other local services on matters ranging from planning and traffic to the upkeep of the playing field and the staging of community events. While much of this work is behind-the-scenes, it is absolutely crucial for the well-being and integrity of our village and the surrounding area. Essentially, our aim is to keep Bilbrough beautiful!

If you are interested in joining the PC - or if you have any other local matters you would like to raise - please email us at clerkbilbroughcouncil@gmail.com or simply come along to any PC meeting.
