Join the Parish Council
In light of the proliferation of planning and other matters affecting the whole Parish, we are seeking new councillors to add perspective and ensure that the best interests of our community continue to be served.
We liaise with the County Council and other local services on matters ranging from planning and traffic to the upkeep of the playing field and the staging of community events. While much of this work is behind-the-scenes, it is absolutely crucial for the well-being and integrity of our village and the surrounding area. Essentially, our aim is to keep Bilbrough beautiful!

2024 NYCC Survey Results
Following the Affordable Housing Consultation Day in November, numerous concerns were expressed about the 2024 NYCC housing survey and report upon which the Council's proposal is based. It is clear that many residents were not even aware of the survey's existence.
The Parish Council has no record of any correspondence or notification regarding the survey prior to its distribution in March 2024. We therefore contend that the survey was not sufficiently well publicised and does not present an accurate or statistically robust reflection of local housing need.
