WELCOME TO BILBROUGH
Here on the Bilbrough Hub, you'll find information about all our amenities, upcoming village events, and the latest updates from the Parish Council.
At Bilbrough's heart is our much-loved Village Hall, which provides a great space and facilities for a wide range of functions, from private parties and social events to formal meetings and fitness classes. Check out the facilities here.
Available for hire all year round, you can now book the hall online - simply follow the instructions on our booking calendar.
Thirsty Fridays at the Village Hall
Join us for a tipple or two on the last Friday of every month!
Following the success of our first two Thirsty Fridays in July and August, we're looking to make this monthly get-together a regular fixture in the village calendar.
We'll be pairing the booze with boos for the next Thirsty Friday, which falls on Halloween - Friday 31st October. Get into the spirit(s) from 5.30pm.
We welcome any suggestions to make the evenings as enjoyable as possible, so don't hesitate to let us know if you have any bright ideas! Oh, and we're always looking for volunteers to help set up and run the bar, so please don't be shy on that score either.
VILLAGE NEWS AND EVENTS
Update: Hall hire rate changes
Please note that the hourly rates for hiring the Village Hall changed on 1st August. The new charges are:
Regular users (i.e. weekly bookings): £12 per hour.
Standard users (i.e. infrequent / ad hoc users): £15 per hour.
Simply click the relevant 'Booking Group' on the Booking Page.
The small increases are necessary to help us manage rising energy and maintenance costs, and to ensure the hall remains a warm, safe, and welcoming space for all our users.
We understand the importance of affordability for our regular groups and have kept this increase as minimal as possible. We truly value your continued support and the vital role you play in keeping the hall an active and vibrant part of the community.

PARISH COUNCIL UPDATES
Join the PC!
With two members of the Parish Council recently stepping down, we are now seeking new representatives to ensure that the best interests of our community continue to be served. We liaise with the County Council and other local services on matters ranging from planning and traffic to the upkeep of the playing field and the staging of community events. While much of this work is behind-the-scenes, it is absolutely crucial for the well-being and integrity of our village and the surrounding area. Essentially, our aim is to keep Bilbrough beautiful!
If you are interested in joining the PC, please email us at clerkbilbroughcouncil@gmail.com or simply come along to any PC meeting.
