VILLAGE NEWS AND EVENTS
Three Hares planning appeal: PC response
Following the pub owners' appeal against the refusal of their application to redevelop the pub into a private residence, the Parish Council has now submitted its response to the Planning Inspectorate.
READ THE PC RESPONSE HERE
Should the appeal be successful, it is highly unlikely that Bilbrough will ever have another pub.
After the community's tremendous reaction to the initial application (80 objections; 0 in support), the PC now urges residents to submit their own written representations to reiterate their objections.
The deadline for responses has now passed. We will publish an update when the Planning Inspectorate has made its decision.

PARISH COUNCIL UPDATES
Join the PC!
With two members of the Parish Council recently stepping down, we are now seeking new representatives to ensure that the best interests of our community continue to be served. We liaise with the County Council and other local services on matters ranging from planning and traffic to the upkeep of the playing field and the staging of community events. While much of this work is behind-the-scenes, it is absolutely crucial for the well-being and integrity of our village and the surrounding area. Essentially, our aim is to keep Bilbrough beautiful!
If you are interested in joining the PC, please email us at clerkbilbroughcouncil@gmail.com or simply come along to any PC meeting.
